Temperature Engineering was founded by Len Botha in 1997.
The company has enjoyed a strong growth from year to year. One of the secrets for its growth is that it has agency rights for top of the range air-conditioning & refrigeration products in the country.
We have sole rights on the ITV range of ice making equipment.

WHO IS LEN BOTHA?

WHO INDUSTRIA TECHNICA VALENCIANA (ITV)?
Established in 1981, ITV has nowadays become on of Spain's leading and most prestigious company among ice making equipment manufacturers. Our product has found its way into new markets and has established a world-wide sales network which is still growing, especially in Eastern Europe, Asia, North & South America, Australasia and South Africa which have been chosen as special target countries, and well over 500 000 ITV ice cube makers have been sold throughout the world.
Investment in R&D has always been a priority at ITV, and each year’s budget has dedicated more funds to growth and improvement of production facilities and company management systems. The most outstanding are the investments allocated to:
- Information systems that provide live data on stocks within ITV and at our external logistics centres, thus allowing full control of distribution network and strengthening our sales policy.
- Machinery required to work with a flexible production system which allows different types of products to be manufactured on the same production line.
- Computerisation and automation of the company, resulting in increased production and quality, without reducing the work force.
- Personal training via courses and job rotation.
- Quality control certification, which is well underway
- No environmental impact.
ITV’s environmental impact is minimal, since there is almost no waste to be recycled. Any such materials are disposed of according to current EU Legislation, used oil is collected by an authorised recycling company, most paper used in our offices is recycled, water used for testing machines is treated & recycled, (500% reduction in our water consumption), and lastly we have gone through great trouble to redesign all our machines so that they are filled with ecologically friendly R404a instead of the old CFC’s.
Qualified employees, rapid adaptation to new management technology, sales network expansion, R&D, new production facilities, flexible production lines and quality control assurance are some of the factors which have contributed to ITV becoming one of the world's most competitive and presigious companies. |
